Well, if that isn't the cutest "little" thing! (and I don't just mean the blankie.) I don't think I've ever seen a granny square that big but it really works. Congrats on finding a good recycling project.
Wow!! That's totally incredible. I love how all the colours shimmer. Did you carefully plan it, or is it random? What a great way to turn leftovers into something of beauty and utility.
Towards the end it was so big i needed full 50 gm skeins to get around the perimeter two times so I picked unused skeins of yarns that I loved but the bulk of it is truly leftover scraps and I just picked what looked good as I went along!
Holy CRAPOLI! That thing is huge. I've been looking at my leftovers and wondering what I could do with them.
I finally caved a few months ago and asked my mom to teach me granny squares. I've been doing tiny, fairy sized things (I'll have to post a picture)... maybe using sock yarn would be a nice break.
What a great idea! That is absolutely gorgeous!! I have so many left over skeins. I might just have to break out the crochet hook. P-man certainly looks as if he approves.
I love your Granny Afghan! I haven't seen one big square like this since I made my very first crocheted afghan when I was age 18 ... over 50 years ago. [in browns & yellows] Great come back ... with sock yarn no less. Wow, I love it!!
I just happen upon your blog, and I am so happy that I did! This is one beautiful blanket...absolutely gorgeous! The colors you chose are so very pretty. Enjoy! Have a lovely week....
Absolutely stunning. I'm going to inspect my leftovers and start rightaway. I'd been thinking of knitting an afghan, but this looks like a much better idea. Thanks for the inspiration.
Whoa. I'm away from Blogland for a few days, and I come back and find out P-Man's been eaten by a gigantic granny square. What, he wasn't? Really? Well, then, what do you feed that thing?!
Just a happy, slightly obsessed, Fluffy Knitter returned to the fold after a 15+ year knitting hiatus and back with a vengeance. And yes, people in Florida do knit!

Oh, wow! I love it (and by the looks of it, so does the P-Man!)

It was random-ish :)

WOW! So many yarns - such incredible color! Absolutely fantastic!
Wow- that's beautiful! It's the crochet answer to the mitered squares blanket with left over sock yarn, or the log cabin blanket. :o) Me likes!
How lovely! I love it. :)
I love it!!! Great job! Now I need to learn how to crochet!
Oh, it's fab, Debi! Well done!
It is just gorgeous! I love how it turned out Debi!
I love it! Head'n over to Ravelry to read more about it. So glad you're still posting here. That blanket is gorgeous. The P-man loves it too.
The blanket is Gorgeous Debi, and you already KNOW how I feel about the PMan :) Hope all is well with you.
Oh, DEB! That is FANTASTIC! Taking on the accent of The Manolo, SUPER-FANTASTIC!
AWESOME!!! A beautiful use for left-overs!
Gorgeous! Both the blanket and the P-Man!
I so love this blanket! So much so that I'm tempted to start my own. It really did turn out nice, Debi.
I see the king of the castle, aka Pumpkin, thinks so too.
OMG That's grand and glorious! Love it!
Wow! gorgeous!
That is wonderful! I think that is absolutely beautiful on your bed, not to mention the pumpkin-colored decoration in the center...
Well done, that afghan is truly wonderful. I recently started to crochet and am just in awe at your skill. Also what a great way to use sock yarn.
Great! My friends are on a granny square kick, so I will be sure to share this with them! It complements the cat wonderfully, too.

Gorgeous! That must have taken a long time -- but well worth the wait.
what a great idea. I made one of those years, years and years ago when I was selling afghans. I love the colors.
It must feel wonderful to use up all that left-over sock yarn, although, I might ask.....how many pairs of socks HAVE you knit???
Lovely!
I'm in awe.
Wow!! Just wow!! That's really beautiful. And of course, the P-man thinks it's for him. :)
Debi, that is stunning. I don't believe I have ever seen a more beautiful afghan. Really beautiful.
it is beautiful! much prettier than my sock yarn blankie~
a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!! That's the most amazing Granny Square I've ever seen, even my Grama would have been amazed! Kudos to you!
Oh wow, that's absolutely breath-taking.
I can't imagine how many socks you've knit. That is fanstastic!
Absolutely stunning. I'm going to inspect my leftovers and start rightaway. I'd been thinking of knitting an afghan, but this looks like a much better idea. Thanks for the inspiration.
A Dutch knitter (and crocheter)
That is seriously the best use of leftover sock yarn I've ever seen. Nice work!

Full on crazy quilt action there! Yee haw!
Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I can say is WOW! First, good for you for not letting all of that yarn go to waste. 2nd, you did a Fab job on that blanket!
This is amazing! I'm going to add to my Ravelry favorites. Your work is absolutely stunning, and excellent use of leftover sock yarn.
