I got Knothing, with a silent K

Well it's supposed to be time for "K" in the ABC along and I got KNOTHING!! Knothing grabs me to write about, poor sad little K! Maybe L will be better.

So when ya got knothing and all else fails, the P-Man steps up to the plate as a distraction....

What? You again?? I was knapping!!

I started a new sock and I'm in LOVE!! This is the beginning of the Child's French Sock from Knitting Vintage Socks by Knancy Bush.

That Knancy, she's brilliant!!

I'm using Louet Gems Pearl in Teal....oh how I heart this yarn!! So soft, such stitch definition....perfection!! I've used the light sportweight Gems Opal before (and Koigu which is made from the Opal and then dyed) but this is my first experience with the fingering weight and it's dreamy!!

I'm also using my DPN's for the first time in a while and oh how I missed them!! Yes, magic loop with a slick pair of addi's is nice but nothing compares to the flow and artistry of the humble DPN!! And I can live without all that time spent schlepping cables thru stitches, with DPNs I get to KNIT!

Here's a close up of the stitch pattern....I love the "pebbled" look of the background!

While waiting to start my "big" WW KIP day project, I'm enjoying just socking it...knothing is better than socknitting, it's like the potato chip of knitting, you gotta have more than one!! And of course one can never have enough sock yarn! I'm even getting a head start on my Holiday Knitting, WOOT!!

Now I leave you with my resident supermodel...

Cause with a face like that, even knothing is something :)

Pumpkin says have a great week everyone!

I'm making the same sock! I kinda stalled out on mine though so maybe you will inspire me. :)

Thanks for you kind comments about our cat Mel and my dad. Dad's okay, and Mel is missed very badly. It was a difficult weekend!

Ya know, "knitting" begins with a silent "K" too... Just a thought.

That P-man makes me smile every time I see his face. Shh, don't tell my cats (or dogs for that matter), they might not like that too much.
Great sock! I love the dble points too.

If the Pearl is anything like the Gems Merino, it is dreamy indeed! And I'm glad to hear you're a dpn kind of gal! I know Magic Loop is, well, magic and two circs are great, but there is such comfort in my dpn's - I get a flow going and I love them!

Hahahaha ... even knothing can be so funny in your blog! Genius!
I bought 2 skeins of Louet Gems Pearl in Orange ... and have still to wait to see when I would knit them up. But I love the colour ... and yes, it is so so so soft!
Why there always seems to be a halo around the fur of Pumpkin? Must be because he has incredibly soft furrrr! You have a great week too!

I just got an order of opal sock yarn, including that teal color. It does seem yummy.

That is your best picture of pumpkin ever. Your new camera really rocks!

I hate to point out the obvious, but doesn't knitting start with a "k"? :)

Pumpkin is adorable as usual.

I'm a DPn gal myself :-) just can't seem to get to grips with all those cables hanging around. Pumkin is looking his usual dapper self I see. a very clever K if I may say so . I have mine all lined up for Friday.

Doesn't knitting start with a K? I'm pretty sure that's not Knothing ;)

P-man is adorable and the sock is really nice. Brave you for such a dark color, tho! I hope you got lots of light to see those stitches. Whew!

Pumpkin has the most beautiful colors! Handsome, too!

Are those INOX dpns? I have INOX and I LOVE them! I'm waiting for my US1's to come in the mail so I can start my fist pair of socks.

The Child's French socks are gorgeous! Great color, too!

I'm pondering K without much inspiration, also.

So far I've managed to meet my goal of doing ABC Along without using knitting topics, but K may be the exception.

Your supermodel has beautiful eyes. But I'm sure he's told you that already.

You just make my giggle! Cute post and I love the pics of Pumpkin -- such a cutie! Your socks are lovely in that teal color and now I'm wishing I had knit that pattern .... guess it is never too late, eh? Don't forget to post your progress pic in the album. Will you be knitting the Lozenge Pattern next? I'm casting on this week.

I love that sock pattern. I knit them in cream at the end of last year, but they are beautiful in the teal too. Kute Kat!
