I have photos taken of the sock that I have had on the needles as a back up project for awhile, and am planning to post about them so you can see how mine look. I'm thinking yours look better. I googled the heel you wrote me about and might try it on my next pair of socks. The PGR method is so automatic for me though, we'll see.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12107496.post-1126754012443655152005-09-14T23:13:00.000-04:002005-09-14T23:13:00.000-04:00Totally agree with your assessment of Vogue... not...Totally agree with your assessment of Vogue... not only have the sizes been an issue, but I usually don't like their designs. So I was shocked to find a couple I liked, and the valuable cast-on info too. My REALLY wide feet love it - I can use as many as 24!!! stitches across the toe (wide feet and all my toes end at the same place - will never, ever get my feet into pointy toed shoes).Loganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00678456201317022273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12107496.post-1126699027645802302005-09-14T07:57:00.000-04:002005-09-14T07:57:00.000-04:00I will never get over being afraid of running out ...I will never get over being afraid of running out of yarn on top-down socks. I've done a few toe-up: provisional cast on for the toe (figure 8 sucks), Sherman heel, and EZ's sewn bind off - the only way to go). Unless that Turkish cast on is magic... But I'll probaby stick with top-down and worrying about running out. Which I'm doing right now as a matter of fact!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12107496.post-1126685841804924192005-09-14T04:17:00.000-04:002005-09-14T04:17:00.000-04:00The sock looks wonderful and i can't wait to see t...The sock looks wonderful and i can't wait to see the tutorial on the cast on. I have trouble making socks fit because I have very narrow feet - they always come out too big. I think toe up is the solution - I've made a couple, but haven't been all that satisfied with the technique. Looking forward to seeing a new one. It's amazing how many ways there are to short-row! Boggles my mind. Personally, I'm a wrapper - I wrap on the first half and then just do a simple work-the-wrap-with-the-stitch on the second half. Some people yarn over, some people wrap on both the up Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10560934660419956374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12107496.post-1126613069114562432005-09-13T08:04:00.000-04:002005-09-13T08:04:00.000-04:00Pumpkin is such a cutie.
